Yvette works from an intuitive, strength-based, client-focused and self-compassion focused therapy style. She integrates CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches with her clients. Yvette also believes in continually building trust and rapport as she feels it is important to be able to problem solve challenges and work on your goals together.
Teen Work: Building trust in the therapy process is extremely important. Yvette believes in creating a safe space for teens to feel heard, seen and explore their mental health needs with a safe, consistent and neutral adult. Yvette implements age appropriate client-centered methods which may include mindfulness and art therapy practices. She believes in a collaborative approach with parents, while also taking confidentiality seriously in the therapy space. Yvette feels it is important for her young client's to be involved in their therapy process every step of the way.
Online video telehealth sessions are held through a HIPPA compliant, confidential platform. You can access this platform from the safety of your own home or any other safe space that is convenient for you. Phone sessions are also available for your convenience.
