Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy in Mashpee, MA

Please reach me at yvette@enhancedmentalhealthllc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Before we begin working together, we'll schedule a free 15 to 20 minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you have about how I work, and see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, we'll schedule your first session, usually within the following week.

Yes. All sessions are conducted via telehalth therapy using a HIPAA-compliant video platform, available to clients throughout Massachusetts, Florida, and Vermont. If you prefer, therapy can also be arranged via phone sessions.

Enhanced Mental Health is a private pay practice which means I do not bill insurance directly. Sessions are $205 for a 50 minute individual session and $275 for a 60 minute family session, and payment is collected at the start of each session. All major credit cards are accepted.

I do provide a detailed receipt called a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out of network reimbursement. Many clients find their insurance covers a portion of the cost so it is always worth checking with your insurance provider about your out of network benefits before your first therapy session. If you have questions about fees and investment you can visit my Therapy Fees page for more information.

Your first session is a chance for you to get to know me and my style and approach, get comfortable, and explore what's bringing you to therapy. We'll start identifying what you want to work on, and I'll suggest which approaches could be most helpful. We work together throughout this process. You're the expert on your own life and experiences, so your input really matters here.

High achievers are the ones who always seem to have it together. You were probably the student who pushed for the A, the employee who stayed late to get it right, and the person everyone could count on to come through. The people around you have always noticed your drive, your discipline, and your ability to make things happen.

But here is the part that does not always get talked about: high achievers often measure their worth by what they produce. Rest can feel uncomfortable. Free time can actually feel more stressful than a packed schedule. And the anxiety that comes with all of that striving can show up as a racing heart, restlessness, difficulty winding down, or a nagging sense that you should be doing more, even when you have already done enough.

No. While my areas of clinical focus are anxiety, perfectionism, high-functioning burnout and codependent relationship patterns, I welcome clients facing a range of challenges including depression, trauma, life transitions, family relationship difficulties, and stress management. If you're wondering whether I might be a good fit for you, please don't be shy, reach out to schedule a free consultation. I'd love to hear from you!

Therapy gives you space that's completely yours. You can talk about what's really going on without worrying about how it sounds or whether you're burdening someone. Your friends and family love you, but they can't always be objective. Therapy offers that outside perspective without the bias.

It's not as scary as people think. You show up, we talk, and we figure things out together. Some sessions may feel heavy, some may feel lighter, and real change does take time. I always tell my clients, it's more like a marathon than a sprint, but you don't have to run it alone.

Through my experience, I've found that people come to therapy because they want to feel better in some way. Maybe you need support around a decision from someone outside your friends and family who can help you think through it without all the noise. Maybe you want to understand yourself better, change patterns that aren't serving you, or manage anxiety that's getting in the way of feeling at peace. Or maybe you're going through something that feels too heavy to carry alone.

Therapy gives you space to talk through what's really happening in your life with someone who deeply cares about your wellbeing and has the clinical expertise to help. Together, we can explore things in ways you might not have been able to on your own.

If you're wondering whether therapy might be right for you, here are 7 signs you might benefit from therapy.

We understand life happens! We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

If you're thinking about starting therapy and feel like I could be a good fit for your needs, I'd love to talk with you. Schedule a free 15-20 minute consultation by clicking here.
